Pack 102's Soapbox Derby, Friday, Oct. 11th!!

Welcome Race Fans! Next Friday, October 11th, is our annual Soapbox Derby. 
 
We will be bringing out our official Cubmobile Cars (dangerous wooden contraptions on 4 wheels) for your son to race. This is a great time to invite a friend to introduce them to some of the fun things we do in scouting.
 
FOOD: Mr. Manny's Webelos 2 Den will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs along with chips, drinks and candy to earn money for their Arrow of Light Awards..  Bring the whole family out for dinner and help support our Webelos 2's!
 
IMPORTANT:  WHAT TO WEAR!  Boys should have long pants, close toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and bring your bicycle helmet!  Uniforms are not necessary but Pack 102 t-shirts are encouraged.

TIME:  5:30 Start serving food
            5:30 - 6:00 Race check-in
            6:00 Start of Races
  
Soapbox Derby Help Needed:
Our Soapbox Derby is an exciting event but it does take volunteers to make it a success. Here are some of the tasks we will need help with.

This year our Bear Den will be heading up the event, so Bear Families please sign up if you can help with the any of the following, feel free to sign up for more than one activity if you want:

Tire Pick-Up: If you have a truck and are available to pick up used tires from the Goodyear Tire on Lonetree either Thursday evening before 7pm or Friday afternoon around 3:30-4:00, please let us know.

Set-up: We need help setting everything up, putting together the ramps, and laying out all the tires. We will start set-up at 4:30.

Clean-up: We need volunteers who can stay after to help take down and load everything into our trailer and also to return the tires.

Mr. Manny's Webelos 2 Den will be running our Cub Grub Shack, so please sign up if you can help with the following:

Set-up/Cooking: We need volunteers to help with setting up our snack bar and cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs. Please show up around 4:30 so we can start cooking by 5:00pm.

Snack Bar/Clean-up: We will need a few parents to help run the snack bar and with clean up after.

Cub Scouts This Week!

Hi Pack Families, I hope you all are having a fantastic week so far. Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 at Breen Elementary School, 2751 Breen Drive in Rocklin.  As we are now meeting on the School grounds, both parents and Scouts need to bring a mask to wear. Cub Scouts This Week!

Hello Pack Families, I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2022. Looking forward to this year being better than the last and getting back to all of our fun scouting activities. Den Meetings: There are no den meetings this week. Our meetings will resume next week on Wednesday, January 12th. An email will be sent out next week to let you know where we will be meeting. Pack Leader Planning Meeting: We have scheduled a Pack Leader planning meeting for this Tuesday, January 4th at 6:30 at  Cubmaster Nicky's house, 2128 Broken Rail Lane in Rocklin.  We will be planning out the Pack schedule for the next 2-3 months. I apologize for the last minute, trying to coordinate schedules has been challenging. I will be bringing pizza for dinner so if you are able to come, please let me know so I know how much to buy. Hi Cub Scout Families, Hope you are staying cool this weekend. It is a hot one for sure. Due to our Fireworks Sales Fundraiser this week there are no scheduled activities. But speaking of Fireworks, I know like a broken record again, Lol.... Fireworks Booths - Help Needed - More Shifts Still Open!! The following shifts for our Fireworks Booth still have openings that we still need to be filled, especially on the July 3rd and 4th . Those days are where we do most of our business.
