Hello Pack 102 Families, I hope everyone had a nice, relaxing weekend. We have a number of important events going on over the next few weeks, so please read through the email for all the pertinent information. Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this week at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School. Please have your son in uniform, with handbook and dues. Webelos 1 Den: Webelos, you will be hiking the Miner's Ravine Trail.this Wednesday.  Please meet at 6:30pm at the rear of the United Artists movie theater parking lot at 520 N. Sunrise . The Miners Ravine trail runs behind the parking lot. Scouts can wear their Pack t-shirt instead of the uniform.  Pancake Breakfast Ticket Sales in Progress: Our Pack is once again hosting our annual Pancake Breakfast on Saturday, May 12th at the Rocklin Community Festival at Johnson-Springview Park from 8am -11am.  This is a great fundraiser and an excellent opportunity to help support our Charter O...

Hello Cub Scout Families, We would like to invite everyone out to go family style tent camping with our Pack.  For our first camping trip of the summer, we have reserved 2 group sites at the Sugar Pine Point State Park for the weekend of June 8th-10th. It is located on the west shore of Lake Tahoe , ten miles south of Tahoe City on Highway 89. Sugar Pine Point State Park contains one of the finest remaining natural areas on Lake Tahoe . With nearly two miles of lake frontage, the park has dense forests of pine , fir, aspen and juniper. Many miles of hiking trails within the park and a swimming beach provide visitors with a variety of relaxing summer activities. The cost is only $25 per person.  This includes the fee for camping on the site, and food (five meals).  Possible activities will include, hiking, fishing, kayaking, swimming ( lake ), and two large servings of fun and adventure!    Food:  We will be providing dinner Friday evening and...

Hello Pack 102 Families, The Rocklin Kiwanis, our Charter Organization, have invited Pack 102 to join them at the Rocklin 125th Anniversary Parade.  This is a fun opportunity to show Rocklin that we have the best Pack in town. The parade route is about 1 mile and includes Rocklin Road, Front Street, Farron and 5th St, so bring your walking shoes and water for the little ones.  The parade ends at Johnson-Springview park where the Rocklin Community Festival is being hosted.  The festival includes live entertainment from local artists, carnival rides and games, delicious food, and local business and arts & craft booths. Parade will begin at 9:00 am. All parade entrants need to be onsite and checked in between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m and Springview Middle School. Scouts and leaders, please be in uniforms. Hello Pack Families, I hope everyone had a great weekend. It was a fabulous evening for our Pack's Rocket Derby on Friday. The weather was perfect and all the kids had a blast making and launching their rockets, jumping and sliding in the bounce house and slide, getting their faces painted, playing games and eating delicious burgers and hot dogs. Thank you to Cubmaster Bob and all our wonderful leaders and parents who helped make our event such a success, and to Fast Track Hobbies for the awesome raffle prizes. Hi Cub Scout Families, Our Rocket Derby is Tomorrow !   Very excited!  Lots of fun!  It will be running from 6pm to 8pm, at St. Matthew Lutheran Church at the corner of Lone Tree and West Oaks.  If you don't want to worry about dinner, our snack bar will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, drinks, etc. We take credit cards too.   The kids will build and launch their rockets . Twilight Camp Registration Due: Twilight Camp this year will again be with the Pioneer Express District for 4 nights on June 12th-15th, from 5:00 - 8:30 Tuesday - Thursday and 5:00 - 9:00 on Friday at the LDS Church Grounds, 7009 Van Maren Lane in Citrus Heights. The Registration price is $60.00 for scouts and $10.00 for adults and Boy Scout helpers. This year the theme is "Passport to Adventure". It will be a fun-filled week of sports, games, and crafts and our scouts always have an amazing time. You won't want to miss it! This Wednesday, April 4th, we will have a table set up in Room 24.
