Cub Scouts This Week: Rocket Derby!!

Hello Pack Families,

I hope everyone had a great weekend.

Den Meetings:
We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School, except for the following dens:

Wolf Den:
The Wolves will be going on your previously canceled hike this week. Please meet at the rear of the United Artists movie theater parking lot at 520 N. Sunrise. The Miners Ravine trail runs behind the parking lot. Same time, 6:30. Boys can wear their pack t-shirt instead of the uniform. 

Rocket Derby This Friday!
We are very excited about our Rocket Derby this Friday, April 20th
from 6:00pm - 8:00pm at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, 5901 Lonetree Blvd. in Rocklin.

This is such a super fun event where the kids will build and launch their own rockets. There will be a bounce house and giant slide, face painting station, games/crafts, ball launching station, and snack bar. This is a great time to invite your friends and family to introduce them to all the fun we have with scouting.
 
So, to make this successful, we are looking for parents to help us out with the following:

Set-up: We will start setting everything up on the church grounds at 4:00pm.

Running Stations: There are several places we could use some grown up help: helping  in the rocket launch area to help keep everyone safe, helping man the ball launcher or supervising the bounce house area, and other games.

Craft Tables: Calling all artistic and crafty parents. We need parents to help us at our face painting table, rocket making table or if you have a great idea for a simple craft or game table let us know.

Snack Bar: The pack will be selling hamburgers, hot dogs, chips, sodas, candy and snow cones as a fundraiser. We need help with running the snack bar.

Grilling: If you want to show off your grilling skills we are looking for a couple of parents to help with cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs.

Take down and clean-up: Helping take down all the equipment, cleaning up and loading the trailer back up.

Important: Soda Bottles:  Don't forget to save your plastic 20oz. soda bottles this week.  Be sure to bring one for your own kids, but if you have extras or have a source for 20oz. soda bottles, please bring those along to share.  Water bottles don't work well for rockets. The 20 oz. soda bottles work the best. 

Many hands make light work. Your participation will make this year's Rocket Derby a great success and an awesome time for our Pack family..

Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 at Breen Elementary School, 2751 Breen Drive in Rocklin.  As we are now meeting on the School grounds, both parents and Scouts need to bring a mask to wear. Cub Scouts This Week!

Hello Pack Families, I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2022. Looking forward to this year being better than the last and getting back to all of our fun scouting activities. Den Meetings: There are no den meetings this week. Our meetings will resume next week on Wednesday, January 12th. An email will be sent out next week to let you know where we will be meeting. Pack Leader Planning Meeting: We have scheduled a Pack Leader planning meeting for this Tuesday, January 4th at 6:30 at  Cubmaster Nicky's house, 2128 Broken Rail Lane in Rocklin.  We will be planning out the Pack schedule for the next 2-3 months. I apologize for the last minute, trying to coordinate schedules has been challenging. I will be bringing pizza for dinner so if you are able to come, please let me know so I know how much to buy. Cub Scouts This Week: Fireworks Booth Sales Continue!

Hi Cub Scout Families, Hope you are staying cool this weekend. It is a hot one for sure. Due to our Fireworks Sales Fundraiser this week there are no scheduled activities. But speaking of Fireworks, I know like a broken record again, Lol.... Fireworks Booths - Help Needed - More Shifts Still Open!! The following shifts for our Fireworks Booth still have openings that we still need to be filled, especially on the July 3rd and 4th . Those days are where we do most of our business. Your help is really needed to make this a successful fundraiser for us again this year.
