Hello Pack Families,
I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. It is nice that the weather has been cooler. Thank you to all the leaders and parents who helped at our Pack Meeting last week. So awesome to see so many scouts earning their Bobcat badges and receiving summer awards.
Den Meetings:
Since we are unable to use the classrooms this week due to a Ruhkala school performance, here is the information for what each den is doing:
Lions Den:
There is no meeting this week. Your first meeting will be next week in Room K-2 in the Ruhkala Kindergarten building.
Tiger Den:
Tigers, you will be meeting at Whitney Community Park,
1801 Whitney Ranch Pkwy. at 6pm . You will be completing requirements for the lesson called My Tiger Jungle so you can wear your Pack t-shirts or a regular t-shirt.
Wolf Den:
Wolves, you will be meeting at Sonora Park, 2101 Great Divide Way, Rocklinat 6:30. You can wear your Pack t-shirts.
Bear Den:
There is no Bear den meeting this week. If you haven't yet signed up to help for the Soapbox Derby on Friday, please go to our website and sign-up.
Webelos 1 Den and Mr. Jason's Webelos 2 Den:
You all will be
going on a hike. The hike will be at Boulder Ridge Park, 3555 Park Dr, in Rocklin at 6:30pm. To get there, head north on Park Drive until you reach the top of the hill. There is a small parking lot and its easy to find because you will see a giant water storage tank.
Remember to wear good hiking shoes as the hike will be up to 3 miles long and can get steep in places. Please also bring a flashlight as you will be hiking at dusk in a wooded area. The hike should last about an hour.
Mr. Manny's Webelos 2 Den:
You will not be meeting this week. Don't forget to sign up to help with the snack bar at our Soapbox Derby.
Soap Box Derby, This Friday!!
Welcome Race Fans! Next Friday, October 11th, is our annual Soapbox Derby.
We will be bringing out our official Cubmobile Cars (dangerous wooden contraptions on 4 wheels) for your son to race. This is a great time to invite a friend to introduce them to some of the fun things we do in scouting.
FOOD: Mr. Manny's Webelos 2 Den will be selling hamburgers and hot dogs along with chips, drinks and candy to earn money for their Arrow of Light Awards.. Bring the whole family out for dinner and help support our Webelos 2's!
IMPORTANT: WHAT TO WEAR! Boys should have long pants, close toed shoes (no sandals or flip flops) and bring your bicycle helmet! Uniforms are not necessary but Pack 102 t-shirts are encouraged.

Soapbox Derby Help Needed:
Our Soapbox Derby is an exciting event but it does take volunteers to make it a success. Here are some of the tasks we will need help with.
This year our Bear Den will be heading up the event, so Bear Families please sign up if you can help with the any of the following, feel free to sign up for more than one activity if you want:
Tire Pick-Up: If you have a truck and are available to pick up used tires from the Goodyear Tire on Lonetree either Thursday evening before 7pm or Friday afternoon around 3:30-4:00, please let us know.
Set-up: We need help setting everything up, putting together the ramps, and laying out all the tires. We will start set-up at 4:30.
Clean-up: We need volunteers who can stay after to help take down and load everything into our trailer and also to return the tires.
Mr. Manny's Webelos 2 Den will be running our Cub Grub Shack, so please sign up if you can help with the following:
Set-up/Cooking: We need volunteers to help with setting up our snack bar and cooking the hamburgers and hot dogs. Please show up around 4:30 so we can start cooking by 5:00pm.
Snack Bar/Clean-up: We will need a few parents to help run the snack bar and with clean up after.
