Cub Scouts This Week!!
Hello Cub Scout Families,
I hope everyone had a good weekend and enjoyed the surprise rain shower this morning. Actually felt a little like Fall to me.
Den Meetings:.
This Wednesday we have our regular den meetings at Ruhkala Elementary School at 6:30. Please have your Scout in uniform, with his handbook and den dues ($2.00, which go to your son's den leader to help cover the costs of supplies for the den).The following dens won't be meeting this week at Ruhkala:
Mr. Jason's Webelos 2 Den:
You will be meeting this Wednesday at Round Table Pizza at located at Stanford Ranch & Sunset next at 6:30.for a den planning meeting.
You can bring your scout if you want to- but this is not a scout meeting. It's planning meeting for us parents. If you do bring your scout (they're always welcomed) they do not need to be in uniform.
Lions Den (Kindergarten):
We now have a Lion leader. Thank you Miss Theresa for volunteering. The Lions will have their first meeting on Wednesday, October 9th in Room K2 and you will meet once a month on the 2nd Wednesday unless otherwise notified.

Webelos 2 - Mr Manny's Den (5th Graders): Room 24
Webelos 1 Den (4th graders): Room 16
Bear Den (3rd graders): Room L2 (portable room near sheds)
Wolf Den ( 2nd graders): Room 23

New Registration:
For anyone needed to register their son, I will be in Room 25 on Wednesday.
Yes, it is that time of year again. Popcorn take-order sales have begun. This is a great time to sell to friends, family, neighbors and co-workers. They have some new products to sell as well as some returning favorites.
Your scout can earn Amazon gift cards based on the amounts of popcorn he sells and the 30% profit made from selling is going directly into your son's scout account. This is a great way to help pay for camping trips, overnighters, uniform items or anything else scouting related.
If you didn't receive a take-order form at our Ice Cream Social, we will be handing them out at this week's den meetings. Please collect the money when you make the sale. Take order forms and money are due by October 16th. The orders will be delivered early-November.
Online Sales:
In addition to site sales, we are allowed to sell online. If you have family and friends who live out of town, please take advantage of this. It is an easy process to get started. All you have to do is go online to: sell.trails-end.com and set up an account. Then you can e-mail family and friends directly from the site asking them to support your cub scout. Their order ships right to them without you having to lift a finger. Again, it is that simple.
