Cub Scouts This Week: Blue & Gold Dinner - This Saturday!!

Hello Pack Families,

I hope you all had a great weekend. Batten down the hatches, looks like this storm is going to be a big one for sure.

Den Meetings:
We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School, except for the following dens:

Lions Den:
The Lions den will not be meeting this week.

Mr. Jason's Webelos 1 Den:
You will be meeting this week at Mr. Jason's house, 927 Cougar Court in Rocklin at 6:30.

Blue & Gold Dinner, This Saturday:
Just a reminder that our Pack 102's Blue and Gold Dinner is fast approaching on March 2, 2019. It is our annual Cub Scout "Birthday Celebration" and one of the highlights of our year. It is a time to celebrate, as we award our cub scouts for all the achievements they have been working so hard on for the last few months and to say goodbye to our Webelos 2's as they earn their Arrow of Light and Crossover into the Boy Scouts.

Dinner will be a potluck.  Each family will need to bring a dish to share. Dessert will follow with a sampling of the fabulous cakes that are entered into our cake contest. It's a great evening of food, awards, friends, and fun! Please have your scout come in uniform.

When – Saturday, March 2, 2019 at 5:30pm

Where – Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA 95661

If you haven't yet signed up, please RSVP as soon as possible at:  https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10C094CA4AC22A6F49-blue so we can get an accurate head count of how many to expect. Let us know first, how many will be attending and second, what dish or dishes you plan on bringing: Main Dish, Side Dish, Salad, Finger Food or Bread. You are welcome and encouraged to bring more than one dish if you like as we usually expect a very large crowd..

Cub Scout & Parent Cake Contest:
We would love to still have more cakes entered into our Scout and Parent Cake Contest. It is completely optional, but tons of fun.  Get creative and have a good time! Please sign up on the above website if you are planning on participating in the cake contest.

You will check in your cake when you arrive that evening.
Certificates will be presented to the winners of each theme category.  Scouts and families will then enjoy a slice of cake for dessert!

Note: PLEASE bring your own serving utensil clearly marked with your name for serving your cake!

Below are the theme categories:

 -  Best Scouting Theme
 -  Best "Scout Made" Cake
 -  Wackiest Cake
 -  Tallest Cake
 -  Most Patriotic Cake
 -  Best U.S. Landmark Cake
 -  Best Use of Chocolate Cake

This is one of our biggest events of the year and I hope to see you all there!

Have a wonderful week!

Miss JoAnn
