Pinewood Derby Rules!

Hello Pack Families,

Our Pinewood Derby is less than a month away on Saturday, February 9th, so I wanted to send out our Official Pinewood Derby Rules, please see attachment, and some Derby Information..

This is one of our best events of the year. The scouts always have a blast. We handed out the Official BSA derby kits at our Christmas Pack Meeting.

We will also be having a sibling race and a Parent (Pro Class) race so if any of you are interested in either of those races, you can purchase additional kits for $4.00.

Our PInewood Derby workshop is this Saturday, January 19th at my house, 1931 Sanderling Court in Rocklin, for anyone who may need extra help. If your scout didn't receive a kit yet, we will have more available.there. We will have band saws, sanders and a drill press for your use as well as templates you scout can use to design his car. The workshop will be from 10am  - 12pm.

At our Derby, we will be giving out 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for the following:
  - Lion Class
  - Tiger Class
  - Wolf Class
  - Bear Class
  - Webelos 1 Class
  - Webelos 2 Class
  
We also are handing out awards for:
  -  "Fastest" Sibling
  -  "Fastest "Pro Class" - for those parents who want to go all out on their own car
  -  Best Patriotic Design!
  -  Best Scout Design!
  -  Best of Show!
  -  Cubmaster's Pick!

This is one of the highlights of our year and we look forward to everyone participating.

Cub Scouts This Week!

Hi Pack Families, I hope you all are having a fantastic week so far. Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 at Breen Elementary School, 2751 Breen Drive in Rocklin.  As we are now meeting on the School grounds, both parents and Scouts need to bring a mask to wear. Lions: You will be meeting this week in the Library. Tigers/Wolves: You will continue to be outdoors this week to work on your Rolling Tigers Elective Adventure and learn about bike safety. Scouts, please bring your bike or scooter, helmet and wear light colored clothing instead of your uniform and bring your handbook.  Bears: You will be continuing to work on your Bear Claws adventure this week so you will be meeting at Mr. Max's House, 5169 Camden Road, close to Breen Elementary. Cub Scouts This Week!

Hello Pack Families, I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2022. Looking forward to this year being better than the last and getting back to all of our fun scouting activities. Den Meetings: There are no den meetings this week. Our meetings will resume next week on Wednesday, January 12th. An email will be sent out next week to let you know where we will be meeting. Pack Leader Planning Meeting: We have scheduled a Pack Leader planning meeting for this Tuesday, January 4th at 6:30 at  Cubmaster Nicky's house, 2128 Broken Rail Lane in Rocklin.  We will be planning out the Pack schedule for the next 2-3 months. I apologize for the last minute, trying to coordinate schedules has been challenging. I will be bringing pizza for dinner so if you are able to come, please let me know so I know how much to buy. Cub Scouts This Week: Fireworks Booth Sales Continue!

Hi Cub Scout Families, Hope you are staying cool this weekend. It is a hot one for sure. Due to our Fireworks Sales Fundraiser this week there are no scheduled activities. But speaking of Fireworks, I know like a broken record again, Lol.... Fireworks Booths - Help Needed - More Shifts Still Open!! The following shifts for our Fireworks Booth still have openings that we still need to be filled, especially on the July 3rd and 4th . Those days are where we do most of our business. Your help is really needed to make this a successful fundraiser for us again this year.
