Cub Scouts This Week - HELP! Fireworks Booth Set-up and More Sign-ups Needed!!

Greetings Pack 102 Families,

Our Twilight Camp this year was so much fun. Thank you to all the leaders and parents who came out to help and thank you to the Pioneer Express District. They put on another great camp this year. All our Scouts had a blast making fun crafts like seashell wind chimes, floating sea turtles, and leather tie slides as well as archery, bb guns, climbing the monkey bridge, running the obstacle course and playing fun water games. If you didn't participate this year, you will for sure want to go next year.

I really hate to keep hounding everyone but we desperately need more parents to sign up to help us run the our booth this year. Parent participation is crucial to the success of this fundraiser. It is one of our biggest of the year and helps us fund so much, It helps us purchase all our Pack and camping gear as well as all the awards, badges, supplies and food for so many events, helps us keep your costs down for registration and events, etc. It is the reason we can provide such a quality program for all our scouts and families.

It takes a village to make our Pack great and you are that village. I realize that life gets busy and it is a holiday, but we really need more people to fill the open spots especially on July 3rd and 4th. We do most of our sales on those days and half of all sales just on the 4th alone. The more we spread the load, the easier it is. The funds we raise help our Pack provide a quality scouting program and covers the costs of the numerous awards and achievements each Cub Scout earns as well as pay for food and supplies for most of our activities and events.

We really appreciate all your support so come hang out with us and have some fun while helping our Pack.

Don't forget , to make it more fun this year, we will be raffling off one of our large Assorted Fireworks boxes, so every person who covers a shift will receive a raffle ticket, and sign ups for the 4th get 2 per shift, so the more shifts you sign up for, the more chances to win. We will announce the winner on July 4th and you can come grab your fireworks.

Delivery and Set-up:
Our fireworks will be delivered Thursday morning, June 27th between 8am and 12pm. We need a few people to come help me check in our inventory, put it in the storage container and start labeling the booth .The freight company is supposed let me know approximately 30 minutes before they will be arriving so if any of you are available during that time and you are able and willing to help, please let me know and I can contact you when I know about what time they will be arriving.

Also, attached is our Fireworks flyer, please use it to email out to all your local friends and family, to help us get the word out that we are selling fireworks again this year. Facebook and Twitter postings would be awesome too. Our Booth is in the Bank of America shopping center at the corner of Sunset and Park.
