Cub Scouts This Week: Pancake Breakfast/Last Call for Hornet Overnighter!!

Hello Pack Families,

I hope everyone had a nice relaxing weekend. My email is pretty long this week but since there is a lot going on, please read through everything carefully.

Lions:
You have your Den Hike/Nature Walk this Wednesday, 5/8 from 6-7:30pm at Olympus Pointe Sculpture Park, 336 North Sunrise Aveneu in Roseville.

Tigers:
You will be meeting at Ruhkala at 6:30 in your regular classroom.

Wolves:
You will be having your end of year celebration at Whitney Community Park.

Bears:
You will be having your End of the Year Pool Party at the Hyde Home, 1940 McKinley Street, Rocklin.

Mr. Jason's Webelos 1:
You will be having your End of the Year Pool Party at Mr. Jason's house.

Mr. Manny's Webelos 1:
You will be meeting at Ruhkala at 6:30 in your regular classroom.

Pancake Breakfast Tickets Sales:
Please turn in Pancake Breakfast ticket money to your den leader or to me this Wednesday, May 8th or arrange a time to drop it off at my house this week.

Pancake Breakfast Help Needed:
We desperately need more volunteers to help with set up, only 2 have signed up so far, as well as cooking, serving and taking down our booth. We cannot run this event without your help, so we need more parents to step up.

Set up will start at 7am near the Pavilion at Johnson-Springview Park. We will be serving breakfast from 8am-11am and we will take everything down after. If you have not yet volunteered at a Pack event, this is a very easy one to help with. We can't do this without you.

Pack Promotions Ceremony:
Our Pack Promotions Ceremony and Dessert Social will be on Saturday, May 18th at 6L30pm. This is the time where our Scouts earn their rank badges that they have worked so hard on this year and then get to  cross over into their new rank and receive their new uniform items. 

The cost of the uniform items which include their new hat, neckerchief, slide and handbook for Scouts advancing into the Tiger, Wolf or Bear dens is $51.00 and for scouts advancing into the Webelos 1 den it is $62.00 and also includes the Webelos colors pin.. If you have a boy going into Kindergarten (Lion) next year who wants to join our Pack, the whole Lion uniform cost including shirt, belt and patches will be $109.00.

Please make checks out to Pack 102 and turn in to your son's den leader or JoAnn Stone by May 8th so there will be enough time to purchase all the uniform items before the ceremony.

LAST CALL: USS Hornet STEM Night Ops Overnighter:
We still have quite a few spots left for our Pack's STEM Night Ops Overnighter on the Aircraft Carrier, the USS Hornet for Saturday, June 8th through Sunday, June 9th.

During the Overnighter, our Scouts will visit select areas of the ship to see various spaces and systems and discuss the science and engineering behind them. As we move around the ship, they will participate in several hands-on science stations and demonstrations by our STEM Team to illustrate the science behind USS Hornet.

The cost is $70.00 per person. Each scout must be accompanied by at least one parent. All STEM Night Ops Guests must be at least 6 years old. Siblings can also attend for an additional $10 for insurance since our council's insurance does not cover them.

This is always a super awesome event that our Scouts love going to. You won't want to miss it!

Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 at Breen Elementary School, 2751 Breen Drive in Rocklin.  As we are now meeting on the School grounds, both parents and Scouts need to bring a mask to wear. Cub Scouts This Week!

Hello Pack Families, I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2022. Looking forward to this year being better than the last and getting back to all of our fun scouting activities. Den Meetings: There are no den meetings this week. Our meetings will resume next week on Wednesday, January 12th. An email will be sent out next week to let you know where we will be meeting. Pack Leader Planning Meeting: We have scheduled a Pack Leader planning meeting for this Tuesday, January 4th at 6:30 at  Cubmaster Nicky's house, 2128 Broken Rail Lane in Rocklin.  We will be planning out the Pack schedule for the next 2-3 months. I apologize for the last minute, trying to coordinate schedules has been challenging. I will be bringing pizza for dinner so if you are able to come, please let me know so I know how much to buy. Cub Scouts This Week: Fireworks Booth Sales Continue!

Hi Cub Scout Families, Hope you are staying cool this weekend. It is a hot one for sure. Due to our Fireworks Sales Fundraiser this week there are no scheduled activities. But speaking of Fireworks, I know like a broken record again, Lol.... Fireworks Booths - Help Needed - More Shifts Still Open!! The following shifts for our Fireworks Booth still have openings that we still need to be filled, especially on the July 3rd and 4th . Those days are where we do most of our business.
