Mr. Jason's Webelos - You will be meeting at Mr. Jason's house at 6:30.

Rocket Derby Cancelled:
Unfortunately due to a scheduling conflict with a few of our leaders and a lack of volunteers signing up, we have decided to cancel our Rocket Derby scheduled for this Friday. Thank you to the few parents who signed up.  We appreciate your willingness to volunteer.

Leader/Parent Planning Meeting Tomorrow Evening:
We have reserved a room at the Whitney Ranch House, 851 Old Ranch House Rd, Rocklin for tomorrow, April 23rd at 6 PM. If you can make it please let me know so we can buy the appropriate amount of pizza. We would like to discuss the upcoming Pancake Breakfast and some other events happening towards the end of the scouting year as well as our Summer Schedule.

Parents, if you are interested in joining our Leadership Team or just in helping us plan upcoming activities, please feel free to join us. We are always looking for more volunteers to help us continue to provide a quality year round program for our Scouts.

USS Hornet STEM Night Ops Overnighter:
We have scheduled our pack to participate in an STEM Night Ops Overnighter on the Aircraft Carrier, the USS Hornet for Saturday, June 8th through Sunday, June 9th..

As an active naval aircraft carrier from 1943 to 1970, the USS Hornet, among its assignments, served in World War II and Vietnam.

Now an official National Historic Landmark, the ship is docked in Alameda as the USS Hornet Museum. Though the Hornet is long past its active years, visitors still can get a taste of the its history. They get an even better feel of life aboard the ship when they participate in the USS Hornet STEM Night Ops Program.

During the Overnighter, our Scouts will visit select areas of the ship to see various spaces and systems and discuss the science and engineering behind them. As we move around the ship, they will participate in several hands-on science stations and demonstrations by our STEM Team to illustrate the science behind USS Hornet.

The cost is $70.00 per person. Each scout must be accompanied by at least one parent. All STEM Night Ops Guests must be at least 7 years old. Siblings can also attend for an additional $10 for insurance since our council's insurance does not cover them.

To sign up go to our Sign-up Genius page at: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094ca4ac22a6f49-usshornetPlease turn in your payment no later than Wednesday, May 8th.

Attached is the USS Hornet Live Aboard Information Packet. It will answer many questions that you might have.

This will be a really awesome event you won't want to miss.

Have a fantastic week!

Miss JoAnn
