Den Meetings:
We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School. Please have your scout in uniform with his handbook and dues.
Lions Den, you will not be meeting this week.
See's Easter Candy Sales:
This year your Scout will have an opportunity to earn money for his Pack Scout Account by pre-selling See's Easter Candy. All profit goes to the Scout's account. Scout Accounts can be used for anything scouting related like camping trips, pack outings, re-charter, uniforms and gear/goodies from the Scout Store. This not only helps him earn money for Scouting, but helps save your wallet!
Attached is the order form for the 2019 See's Spring Fundraising Program. All money must be collected and turned in with your order no later than April 10th so I can place our order and pick up candy in time for you to hand out before Spring Break.
Twiight Camp Registration, Paperwork Due This Wednesday:
It's that time again for our Twilight Camp Registration. Twilight Camp this year will again be with the Pioneer Express District for 4 nights on June 18th-21st, from 5:00 - 8:30 Tuesday - Thursday and 5:00 - 9:00 on Friday at the LDS Church Grounds, 7009 Van Maren Lane in Citrus Heights.
The Early Bird Registration price is $60.00 for scouts and $10.00 for adults. This year the theme is "Beneath the Sea". It will be a fun-filled week of sports, games, and crafts and our Scouts always have an amazing time. You won't want to miss it!
I will be in Room 23 this Wednesday to collect all your payments and paperwork, including your Cub Scout and Adult Camp permission forms, Firearms Permission Form, BSA medical release forms, parts A and B for both Youth and Adults attending (see all forms attached), copies of your medical cards, and a copy of each Adult attending Youth Protection Certificate I need everything turned in on time in order to get us registered by March 30th for the early bird price. After that date, the price goes up $10.00 per Scout.
Note: When filling out the Camp Form for your scout, please put the den he will be advancing into in May not his current den.
All adults planning on attending must complete the Youth Protection Training online and turn in a copy of their certificate. Go to https://my.scouting.org/ to login or create an account if you have never taken it before and follow the instructions to take the online course. Once completed you will receive an email completion certificate that you can print and turn in with your paperwork. If you have already done the training within the last year, I just need a copy of your current certificate..
Parent help is very important. We need a ratio of 1 adult for 4 scouts to help walkabout with each group as well as a few parents to help run a station, so if you can attend that would be awesome. The more help the better the experience for our boys. If you have a Boy Scout who is interested in helping out for volunteer hours, please sign them up as well.
If you or someone you know has a boy who either will be entering the 1st grade next year or is just interested in joining our Pack they can sign up and still be able to register for Twilight camp until June 1st at the regular registration price of $60.00. Please see me for pack applications.
This really is a great time for our scouts and gives them a head start working on their new rank's Adventure Requirements.
