Cub Scouts This Week: Den Meetings Resume!!
Hi Cub Scout Families,
I hope everyone had a good weekend despite the crazy weather. Wasn't that wind last night insane?
A huge thank you to all the parents and scouts who turned out this year to volunteer their time to help us pick up trees for our Christmas Tree fundraiser.. This was our biggest crew ever and we so appreciate your service. You all helped to make this year our best one yet! A huge shout out to Jen and Jason Brown and Cubmaster Bob for all their hard work in running our Fundraiser, from placing out signs, scheduling pick ups, fielding calls, creating our map routes and handling dispatch, they totally rocked it!
Den Meetings:
Our regular den meetings resume this week at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School, except for the following dens:
Webelos 1 Den:
You will be meeting at Mr. Jason's house, 927 Cougar Court in Rocklin at 6:30
Webelos 2 Den:
You will not be meeting this Wednesday as you will be attending a Boy Scout Troop 29 meeting on Thursday. Troop 29 meets at the Rocklin Community Center, 5480 5th St. in Rocklin The Meeting starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive by 6:50. Scouts need to be in full uniform.
Pinewood Derby Workshop, Saturday, January 19th:
If you haven't had a chance to start on your car yet, or just need extra help, we will be holding a workshop on Saturday, January 19th from 10am - 12pm (weather permitting) at the Stones' House, 1931 Sanderling Court in Rocklin. Please bring your derby kits, and great ideas If you didn't receive a car kit at our Christmas pack meeting, we will have kits available at the workshop. We will also be having a sibling and Pro Class (parents) race so you can purchase a kit for them for $4.00.
We will be serving doughnuts and hot chocolate.
If you have tools that you think might be helpful, please bring them and if anyone can come a little early to help set up, that would be great. Also looking for a few leaders or parents who are good at woodworking to help with teaching and supervision.
