Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 in the classrooms at Ruhkala Elementary School, except for the following dens:
Lions Den: Lions, you have a Community Service Project and Fire Station Tour this Wednesday at 6:00pm. Please meet at the Roseville Fire Station #5, 1565 Pleasant Grove Blvd Roseville, CA 95747. *** Please come in Lion shirts/hats & meet out front at the Flag Pole
Tiger Den: Tigers will be meeting at Miss Heather's house, 6473 Camellia Point Way at 6:30pm..
Webelos 2 Den: This week you will be visiting the Blue Line Arts Gallery, 405 Vernon Street, Roseville, for the Tour, Talk, Create program. The activity begins promptly at 6:30 pm and lasts until 8:00 pm, so please meet at 6:20 in front of the gallery. If it is raining, you will meet under the overhang at the Tower Theater right next door. Parking is available in the parking garage at 405 Vernon Street. The cost is $10 per scout, but I will be putting some dues we have collected towards the cost, so each scout will have to pay in the $7 range. Pinewood Derby, Saturday, February 9th: Our Pinewood Derby is a little over one week away on Saturday February 9th, so we wanted to send out some important information. Oh, and if you still need a derby kit, please contact me to arrange a time to pick one up. I will also be bringing some to this week's den meetings.
We will be giving out 1st, 2nd and 3rd place awards for the following: - Lion Class
- Tiger Class - Wolf Class
- Bear Class
- Webelos 1 Class
- Webelos 2 Class
We also are handing out awards for: - "Fastest" Sibling - "Fastest "Pro Class" - for those parents who want to go all out on their own car - Best Patriotic Design! - Best Scout Design! - Best of Show! - Cubmaster's Pick!
Pinewood Derby Registration: Wednesday, February 6th, we will be registering all the pinewood derby cars. A few of our leaders will be heading up the registration. Parents should take their scout to their den meeting first and then meet in the Multi-use room to register their car. Once it passes inspection and is registered, we will collect your car and bring it back on Race Day. There will be a small workshop area set up for you to use if you need to make any necessary adjustments before registering.

Parent Help Needed: In order to make this a fun event that goes smoothly, lots of parent help is needed. We still need help with set up and decorations starting at 12pm. We will also need help with running some tables. We would like to have a few table for scouts to make derby related crafts. So if you have any cool ideas, please let me know.
