Pancake Breakfast Help Needed:
We still need more volunteers to help with set up, cooking, serving and taking down our booth. Set up will start at 7am near the Pavilion at Johnson-Springview Park. We will be serving breakfast from 8am-11am and we will take everything down after. If you have not yet volunteered at a Pack event, this is a very easy one to help with. We can't do this without you.
Please go to our Sign-up site below to sign-up. If you can't be present the entire time that is okay, when you sign up, please put what time you can be present in the notes section.
Rocklin 125th Anniversary Parade - Sign-up:
The Rocklin 125th Anniversary Parade is also this Saturday..Our Scouts have been invited to walk in this year's parade. This is a fun opportunity to show off our Pack to all of Rocklin.
The Parade will begin at 9:00 am. All parade entrants need to be onsite and checked in between 7:30 a.m. and 8:30 a.m at Springview Middle School. Scouts and leaders, please be in uniforms. They are recommending that you get there before 8:00 as the Police will be shutting down the streets at 8:00am to get ready for the parade. You can also park near the Railroad Depot area and it is a short walk to the school.
Parents, if you are planning on helping with the breakfast, you can drop your Scout off at the school and then go over to the park to help with set up, cooking and serving. You can also walk with us in the parade. I will be at the school at 7:30 to meet the scouts and get everyone ready for the parade.
Parade details and information can be found here.
Parade route map is here.
Please print and fill out a waiver for each participant and bring with you (download waiver here).
We would really love to have your Scout participate. To let us know you will be attending go to our Sign up site at:
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c094ca4ac22a6f49-rocklin If you haven't yet signed up, please do. We are the largest Pack in Rocklin and we really want to have as many scouts walking in the parade as possible to make a good showing for our Pack.
Pack Promotions Ceremony:
Our Pack Promotions Ceremony and Dessert Social will be on Saturday, May 19th at 6:30pm at in the Multi-Use room at Ruhkala. This is the time where our Scouts earn their rank badges they have worked so hard on this year and then get to cross over into their new rank and receive their new uniform items.
The cost of the uniform items which include their new hat, neckerchief, slide and handbook for Scouts advancing into the Wolf or Bear dens is $47.00 and for scouts advancing into the Webelos 1 den it is $58.00 and also includes the Webelos colors pin.. If you have a boy going into 1st grade (Tiger) next year who wants to join our Pack, the whole Tiger uniform cost including shirt, belt and patches will be $97.00.
Scouts who are advancing into the Webelos 1 den (currently Bears), is you are interested in purchasing a tan shirt for your scout, please contact me for pricing information.
Please make checks out to Pack 102 and turn in to your son's den leader or JoAnn Stone by this Wednesday so there will be enough time to purchase all the uniform items before the ceremony.
Badges & Belt loops:
Parents, please let your den leaders know what Adventure requirements and electives your scouts have completed towards earning their Scout rank by Wednesday so we can get it all entered into the council website and purchase all the awards before our Promotions Ceremony. This will be the last chance for your Scout to earn their den rank before crossing over into their new den.
Have a great week and I hope to see you all this Saturday at our Breakfast and Parade.
Miss JoAnn
