Cub Scouts This Week: Blue & Gold Dinner, This Saturday!!

Hello Cub Scout Families,

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend.

Den Meetings:
Due to our Blue & Gold Dinner this Saturday, there will be no den meetings this week.

Webelos 2 Den:
You are invited to a Troop visit with Troop 349 this Wednesday. Please meet at the Rocklin Community Center on 5th Street at 7:00 pm. Please have your scout in uniform.

Blue & Gold Dinner, March 24th - Sign-up:
You are invited to attend Pack 102's Blue and Gold Dinner on March 24, 2018. It is our annual Cub Scout "Birthday Celebration" and one of the highlights of our year. It is a time to celebrate, as we award our cub scouts for all the achievements they have been working so hard on for the last few months and to say goodbye to our Webelos 2's as they earn their Arrow of Light and Crossover into the Boy Scouts.

Dinner will be a potluck.  Each family will need to bring a dish to share. Dessert will follow with a sampling of the fabulous cakes that are entered into our cake contest. It's a great evening of food, awards, friends, and fun! Please have your scout come in uniform.

When – Saturday, March 24th, 2018 at 5:30pm

Where – Maidu Community Center, 1550 Maidu Drive, Roseville, CA 95661

If you have not yet signed up, please RSVP at: http://www.signupgenius.com/go/60b0a4aafab2ea02-blue as soon as possible to let us know both how many are attending and what dish you plan on bringing: Main Dish, Side Dish, Salad, Finger Food or Bread. Make sure you not over RSVP but put down what item or items you plan on bringing.

Cub Scout & Parent Cake Contest:
The Scout and Parent Cake Contest is completely optional, but tons of fun.  Get creative and have a good time! Please sign up on the above website if you are planning on bringing a cake to enter in the cake contest. This is separate from the Potluck Dinner sign-up.

You will check in your cake when you arrive that evening.  Certificates will be presented to the winners of each theme category.  Scouts and families will then enjoy a slice of cake for dessert! 

Note: PLEASE bring your own serving utensil clearly marked with your name for serving your cake!

This is one of our biggest events of the year and is always a great time!
Twilight Camp Registration:
It's that time again for our Twilight Camp Registration. Twilight Camp this year will again be with the Pioneer Express District for 4 nights on June 12th-15th, from 5:00 - 8:30 Tuesday - Thursday and 5:00 - 9:00 on Friday at the LDS Church Grounds, 7009 Van Maren Lane in Citrus Heights.

The Registration price is $60.00 for scouts and $10.00 for adults. This year the theme is "Passport to Adventure". It will be a fun-filled week of sports, games, and crafts and our scouts always have an amazing time. You won't want to miss it!


All monies, Camp permission forms (Youth and Adult), Shooting Permission Form for each scout, BSA medical release forms, parts A and B for both Youth and Adults attending (see forms attached), copies of your medical cards, and a copy of each adult attending's Youth Protection certificate need to be turned in by Wednesday,  April 4th so we can get us registered by April 6th.


Note: When filling out the Camp Form for your scout, please put the den he will be advancing into in May not his current den.


All adults planning on attending must complete the Youth Protection Training online and turn in a copy of their certificate. If you have already done the training within the last 2 years, I just need a copy of your current certificate..We need a ratio of 1 adult for 4 scouts to help walkabout so if you can attend that would be awesome. The more help the better the experience for our boys. To take the Youth Protection Training go to: https://www.scouting.org/training/youth-protection/ once completed, print a copy of your certificate to turn in.
 
If you or someone you know has a boy who either will be entering the 1st grade next year or is just interested in joining our pack they can sign up and still be able to register for Twilight camp until May 5th at the regular registration price of $60.00. Please see me for pack applications.

This really is a great time for our scouts and gives them a head start working on their new rank's Adventure Requirements.

Hi Pack Families, I hope you all are having a fantastic week so far. Den Meetings: We have regular den meetings this Wednesday at 6:30 at Breen Elementary School, 2751 Breen Drive in Rocklin.  As we are now meeting on the School grounds, both parents and Scouts need to bring a mask to wear. Lions: You will be meeting this week in the Library. Tigers/Wolves: You will continue to be outdoors this week to work on your Rolling Tigers Elective Adventure and learn about bike safety. Cub Scouts This Week!

Hello Pack Families, I hope you all had a safe and Happy New Year! I can't believe it is already 2022. Looking forward to this year being better than the last and getting back to all of our fun scouting activities. Den Meetings: There are no den meetings this week. Our meetings will resume next week on Wednesday, January 12th. An email will be sent out next week to let you know where we will be meeting. Pack Leader Planning Meeting: We have scheduled a Pack Leader planning meeting for this Tuesday, January 4th at 6:30 at  Cubmaster Nicky's house, 2128 Broken Rail Lane in Rocklin.  We will be planning out the Pack schedule for the next 2-3 months. I apologize for the last minute, trying to coordinate schedules has been challenging. I will be bringing pizza for dinner so if you are able to come, please let me know so I know how much to buy. Cub Scouts This Week: Fireworks Booth Sales Continue!

Hi Cub Scout Families, Hope you are staying cool this weekend. It is a hot one for sure. Due to our Fireworks Sales Fundraiser this week there are no scheduled activities. But speaking of Fireworks, I know like a broken record again, Lol.... Fireworks Booths - Help Needed - More Shifts Still Open!! The following shifts for our Fireworks Booth still have openings that we still need to be filled, especially on the July 3rd and 4th . Those days are where we do most of our business. Your help is really needed to make this a successful fundraiser for us again this year.
